PREPARATION

In order for the sealants and LSP (Last Stage Protection) to do its job, and the perfect finish to last, a vehicles bodywork needs the ULTIMATE in preparation.  As mentioned previously, this is so that the sealants and waxes can bond entirely with the paintwork.  With good preparation, quality sealants and LSP, the vehicle will only require a maintenance wash and LSP top up occasional (dependant upon LSP used, time of year & amount of vehicle use).

PREPARATION METHODS

  •     Pre-Wash Rinse

THE REASON WHY WE CLAY A CARS SURFACE

Here is an example of the microscopic contaminants that exist on the surface of a vehicle.

The image shows a decontaminating clay bar used on a BRAND NEW & REGISTERED car.

As you can see even new cars are exposed to the elements.

Image the condition of a vehicle which has never been correctly prepared ,protected and maintained.  I will leave it to your imagination.....

PAINT DEFECTS.

Types of paint defects

The above image shows the paint layers and coatings on a vehicle.

From the above image you can see the varying damage which can be caused to your vehicles paint work, and the intensity of damage.  The clear coat is the outer protective layer of paint and is otherwise known as the lacquer.  Random Deep Scratching (RDS) is the damage which truly can not be corrected by machine and would require some form of touch-up or re-spray.

The majority of vehicles suffer from swirl marks, caused by incorrect wash techniques and marring caused by incorrect drying and polishing techniques.  These can all be corrected with ease.
